The difficulty to hit with a weapon and its need to land more hits to achieve the same amount of damage was in fact considered. I'm just as curious to find out which way things go. If that doesn't happen, then we know that Q4 was fine as it was and doesn't need to be touched. This is the place to talk things over and playtest them until there's a group who is not just happy but a large group who prefers these new numbers. I do know however a lot of people who would like to play with the numbers, especially dropping the rail to 80 or 75. Ironically I'm pretty happy with the default setup. I merely wanted to open the dialogue so that those who wanted to see changes made began having a discussion on which way to take things. It's important to remember that I never intended the above numbers or any that we produce within the week to be a "good solution".

I've made some major changes to my first draft (which I'll leave posted for now) based off of everyone's comments so far plus some additional testing. Update: Just wanted to let everyone know that I'm incredibly busy today and will probably be letting this thread sit until tomorrow. I would personally like everyone to give it their own go and post what they would change about my setup, or in the case of drastic changes to post their own Weapon Def Tweak file. These are the type of changes I would love see made to Q4Base but most likely are better suited for the community to organize and collaborate on. This is just something that I worked up, with the concept that these values might be a good place to begin when considering a weapon rebalance for a ProModesque mode. These are not intended as an "id" solution. So here what I have done is basically balanced out the majority of the weapons to do the same Max Dmg/Sec (100 points dmg) and then adjusted their ammo carrying capacity such that the weapons in higher demand require better weapon spawn and ammo control. Everyone is doing too much damage, the rail and lightning seem a bit overpowered compared to the "lesser" weapons. I continued and copied the sheet and tried to begin tweaking the weapons in such a way that I believe would help solve many of the issues that people are having. I then made some calculations to try to help give "damage ratings" to each weapon, Max Dmg/Min and Max Dmg/Sec based off of their rof and dmg.

I had some clanmates come over and LAN all weekend but after they left I sat down and whipped on up (its up for download, feel free to add or improve upon it). Yes, you need to be smart to make dumb humor. It requires talent and some semblance of intelligent script writing. Their attempts at social commentary and triggering people fall flat because making people laugh is hard. The thing with Postal games is that they aren’t funny. I will forever cherish Conker’s Bad Fur Day and the Deadpool game. I’m the one person who actually laughs, to this very day, at the idiocy featured in South Park for the Nintendo 64, for instance. I have nothing against dumb, potty humor. It has a myriad of issues, but those stem from the part that hinders its potential the most: the fact it still has to be associated with Postal at the end of the day. Mechanically, there is not a lot to complain about Postal: Brain Damaged. The shotgun has a grappling hook identical to the one in Doom Eternal, and so on. The “Smart Pistol” allows you to lock onto enemies and load up to four shots at once, letting you McCree your way into victory.

The combat itself is also excellent, for every weapon at your disposal has two functions that allow you to come up with different strategies on how to deal with enemies. The social commentary is too strong, I can’t take it.
